Controls:
- Age 18+
- Never diagnosed with (and not at a particular risk of developing) ALS or an ALS related disorder
- Able and willing to comply with study procedures
Affected (not currently recruiting):
- Age 18+
- Clinical diagnosis of ALS or an ALS related disorder
- Willing to undergo C9ORF72 screening and to learn the results
- Able and willing to comply with other study procedures
Study Involvement

Controls: 5 half-day study visits at UMiami (or another study site) over a 1-year period
- Family and medical history review
- Blood, urine, and (optional) CSF collection
- Breathing test
- Neuropsychological assessment
- Questionnaires/surveys
- Neurological exam (one-time)
